Misleading Pricing and Poor Customer Service.

My experience with Extra Space Storage has been extremely disappointing. When I signed the contract, I was not aware about several details that later led to unexpected charges and frustration.

Initially, I was paying $106.00 per month for a storage unit with no A/C or electricity. After the 6-month "promotion" ended, the price automatically increased to $188.00 without any prior notification via email, text, or mail. I only discovered the increase when I saw the charge on my account.

I called immediately to address the issue, but no one responded. It wasn’t until I went to the office in person that I was able to speak to someone. The owner promised a refund for the overcharge, but I am still waiting for it to be processed.

The front staff were unfriendly and short with terms, making me feel as though I was at fault for their lack of transparency. I rarely leave personal reviews, but the horrible service and misleading practices compelled me to share my experience.

If you’re considering renting from Extra Space Storage, be sure to read the contract carefully and double-check their policies on price increases and notifications.
Do NOT Set up automated payments, as they do not proactively inform you about changes.

The promotional price was reasonable and the space was adequate for our vehicle. The service we received from Danny was exceptional! He answered our many questions in a professional and knowledgeable manner. We were impressed with all he shared with us as first time storage renters. Thank you, Danny for all your help!

I had an amazing experience this past week with the manager Randy Baker. He is very knowledgeable about his job and gave me every option available within my budget! I was not going to purchase the insurance but after Randy explained how important it was i got it! Thank you Randy for your great customer service

Manager Giovvana excelente customer service skills! i'm not sure about places safety, my lock was almost broken into... luckily my lock is very sturdy. That was a very weird thing to go through!

I called today with a few questions. 'Q' looked up my account and helped me out by answering all of my questions. She was professional and nice the whole time. I recommend this storage facility to anyone who is looking for a storage unit. The manager is also professional. when I went there to rent a storage unit, he made the process of getting the storage unit go easy and was a nice guy about it. I give the manager and 'Q' 5 out of 5 stars.

First let me go a loooong way to say Mr.Randy is by far one of the Best managers to have graced this facility. This location has had many temporary managers from other locations who were great at their work like himself, but again they were just temporary. So you can feel my joy when receiving knowledge Mr.Randy would be a PERMANENT asset to the company. Oh and what a wonderful asset he is. He truly cares about the clients renting at his facility, so much he'd leave his home in the mid of night not to mention pouring rain to ASSURE a clients needs are met. I'm forever Grateful for Mr.Randy and wish nothing but prosperity within him and his new team.🤗
