Amazing place. Place - Well set up! ... Food - Amazing .... Highlights of our order was pani puri, Alleppey veg curry and Ambur Chicken Biriyani. All in all, it is a very good addition to the Indian restaurants in Leeds. Highly recommended ! Will visit again...

Why 4 stars then Our service was a bit hurried. Quick service is always good. But this was a bit hurried !

Otherwise, it is an excellent place ?

Me and my wife visited this Indian costal food speciality restaurant first week of Jan; we were surprisingly happy with the quality and the taste; I expected it to be fairly tamed on the spice levels … but nope, it was just perfect as it should have been.

What we ate and loved
- Chicken 65, Ghee roast prawns, Meen Varuval as starters
- Alleppey Fish Curry with steam rice for mains

And a wonderful bottle of wine along side !

Must visit to dine !

Away for work and decided to stay in the restaurant attached to the Ibis Styles where I was staying. Lovely decor and a menu with something to offer everyone. Items that you might not find in your "usual" Indian restaurant, it was great to try something new. The King Prawns in my Makani were huge! Would definitely eat here again.

The food was good but expensive for what it was. The curries were tasty and filling and there was plenty on the menu to accommodate allergies and gluten free diets. It was really quiet and we were literally the only people there at around 5/6pm on a weekday.

We had an incredible dining experience at the restaurant! The food was absolutely outstanding, thanks to Chef Kartik's expert recommendations. The fish curry was rich and flavorful, and the Kal dosa was perfect. Each bite was a delight. We can't thank Chef Kartik enough for making this meal unforgettable. Highly recommend!

The food is plated up very fancy, but unfortunately it’s very overpriced and extremely tiny portions. The quality didn’t quite live up to standards. Also the audacity of the workers to add a “10% discretionary” on your bill very discretely it’s not even asked for! As a customer it’s MY discretion if I would like to tip please do not take it upon yourself to add gratuity at your own charge.

Also there is hardly any parking, toilets are 2 floors down bit of a trek.

They also don’t take American Express but hold American Express payment boards.

Don’t waste your time or money.

I wanted to try this place when I went past it few weeks ago, great looking decor from outside and in.

We came here from a day out to have some food and was looking forward to having a meal.

We parked at the multi story car park near the restaurant and it’s was only few mins walk from there so parking isn’t a issue.

The place was quite and we didn’t have to pre book. Once seated we got our menus and ordered our meal, we didn’t have to wait long for the food to arrive. The food itself was good with plenty of flavour, we got a few different things from the menu and all of it was nice the only thing I didn’t like was the kal dosa, which to me just looked like a pancake with some spices on it. Overall the food was good.

The service was okay we got what we ordered however they charged me 10% discretionary tip which I wasn’t aware of until I fully checked the bill once I got home. I think paying tips should be paid by the customer and not forced by the restaurant we are not living in America after all. Also I wanted to pay with Amex which the staff said they don’t accept even though the folder they give you the bill with is American Express branded. Odd of them to have that and offer Amex.

The overall experience wasn’t so bad, the food was good but let down by service and unmentioned 10% tip on the other hand I would have given it a better rating shame it got ruined at the end.

I've been meaning to try the food here since it opened. The menu reads really well with some great authentic flavours on the dishes. The fish fry starter was nice and crisp with some great flavours, the fish main had a really nice taste to the tomato sauce that it was in. The service was prompt which I liked although I would have preferred if they waited until the starters were finished before they brought out the mains. Rather expensive, small portions and although the food was great I probably wanted an extra dimension to the food to get the fifth star. Well worth a visit if you have never tried real Indian seafood. Also recommended the Kal Dosa and Ghee rice to accompany whatever you pick
